Thanks to the those who have generously donated to No More Homeless Pets KC to provided free and discount spay/neuter services to hundreds of people that could not afford to do so otherwise.

That means a lot of unwanted litters have been prevented AND the overall health of the pets has been improved too!

There are thousands of people in Kansas City that cannot afford to have their pets spayed or neutered. Sadly, this results in more litters, more stray animals, and more cats and dogs at shelters every day. With your help, we can make a difference!

Please today. Help people. Help their pets. Help Fix KC. Sponsor a Spay.

Each day 10,000 humans are born in the U.S. – and each day 70,000 puppies and kittens are born. As long as these birth rates exist, there will never be enough homes for all the animals.

Prevention is the cure to Pet Over-Population

Low-cost neutering doubles the number of low income pet owners who get their pets fixed and cuts animal shelter intakes in half.

Studies show that the number one reason most people do not have their pet fixed is due to cost.

Cats and dogs have the unique ability to reproduce several times a year. They can go into heat as early as 5 months of age – sometimes earlier, and they can have litters several times a year! That is why there are so many homeless animals.

Low income pet owners fall at least 11% below the national norms in having their pets neutered. At the same time, they own 21% more male cats than the national norm; 36% more female cats; and 29% more cats overall.

An unspayed female dog, her mate and all of their puppies and their puppies’ puppies, if none are ever neutered or spayed, add up to 67,000 in just 6 years.
