The Yappy Hour on February 25, 2005, at Birdie's Pub & Grill in Overland Park was a roaring success. The pub filled up with party goers who donated over $3000 to help Kansas City 's homeless animals. Dozens of wonderful raffle prizes were donated by area businesses. Thanks again to Michelle Clements, the Manager of Birdie's and Rick Reynolds, the owner, for hosting this special benefit. Thanks to Crawford Sales/Anheuser-Busch for donating and co-sponsoring the event with Birdie's. And thanks most of all to Jan Torrey, volunteer extraordinaire, who put the Yappy Hour together.
